

Fabian Hamilton MP
Fabian Hamilton was elected as the Labour Member of Parliament for Leeds North East in 1997.
Fabian currently serves as Chair of the British Inter-Parliamentary Union and the Prime Minister’s Trade Envoy to the Southern Cone (Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay). He also serves as Chair of the All Party Parliamentary Group Latin America and the All Party Parliamentary Group Cycling and Walking.
In Parliament, Fabian has served as member of the Foreign Affairs Select Committee and Transport Select Committee following his time as the Labour Party’s Shadow Minister for Peace and Disarmament, Latin America and the Caribbean. Since his election to Parliament, Fabian has championed multilateral disarmament and international peace-building alongside sustainable and reliable public and active travel.
Alongside regional responsibilities in Latin America and the Caribbean, Fabian has been responsible for Labour Party policy on arms control, the non-proliferation of nuclear weapons, conflict prevention and the UK’s soft power. He is married with three children and two grandchildren, and is a keen cyclist and amateur photographer.
In 2016, Fabian authored a report into the UK’s housing crisis entitled ‘Building Homes for Britain’.
In 2025, Fabian co-authored a report into illegally modified e-bikes, the gig economy and pedestrian safety.
