Renters rights act & new Affordable Homes Programme !
Our Renters’ Rights Act is now law, abolishing Section 21 ‘no fault’ evictions and
securing the most significant improvement in rights for 11 million private renters in a generation. Ground rents will be capped at £250 a year, bringing much needed
relief to leaseholders. We are reforming the planning system and investing a
record uplift of £39 billion in our new Affordable Homes Programme – part of ourplan to build 1.5 million homes.
