Alwoodley Branch Prepares for May 7 Local Elections

With local elections set for May 7, the Alwoodley branch has confirmed Matthew McGonagle as its candidate, marking an important moment for communities across north east Leeds, including Alwoodley, Eccup, Moor Allerton, Primley Park, Shadwell and Wigton Moor.

In a recent Facebook post, Fabian Hamilton described Matthew McGonagle as “a fresh voice for Alwoodley” and highlighted his focus on local issues and community engagement. McGonagle also serves as Vice Chair of the branch, working alongside Chair Paul de Beer and Secretary Liz de Beer.

The Alwoodley branch continues to host regular monthly gatherings aimed at bringing residents together in an informal and welcoming setting. These meetings offer an opportunity to socialise, hear from guest speakers, and contribute ideas on local priorities and future activities.
