Guest Speaker: Cllr Jess Lennox (Leeds City Council's executive member for housing)

We hope you can join us as we explore the successes and challenges of meeting Labour's ambitions to deliver safe, warm, affordable housing across Leeds.
This event is open to all Labour Party members. You can take part in person or online - whichever suits you best.
Nationally, Labour has committed to building 1.5 million homes and is reforming the planning system to speed up their delivery, investing a record uplift of £39 billion in a new Affordable Homes Programme, as well as introducing new rights for renters and ending “no-fault” evictions.
How are these changes affecting our city? What impact are Leeds City Council initiatives like the Council Housing Growth Programme, selective licensing and the revitalisation of neighbourhoods having? What more does Leeds need to ensure all our citizens have access to a secure home in a flourishing community?
These questions, and more, will be explored by our guest speaker, Cllr Jess Lennox, Leeds City Council’s executive member for housing.
